Language Change:

The title of this substitute language is "An Act Establishing An Adult Literacy Board". This replaced the original title of the bill which was "An Act Concerning Workforce Development". The original language of this bill was dropped and in its place was put the content of substitute bill 6998 from the 2007. The bill establishes the Adult Literacy Leadership Board within the Office of Workforce Competitiveness, and aims at improving adult literacy in Connecticut. The sum of one hundred seventy-six thousand dollars appropriated to the Office of Workforce Competitiveness from the June special session shall not lapse on June 30, 2008, but shall be available for staffing the Adult Literacy Board.
