An Act Concerning Funding For Noise Barriers In Southeastern Connecticut Towns.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That fifteen million dollars of the moneys available in the Mashantucket Pequot and Mohegan Fund established by section 3-55i of the general statutes be paid to the Department of Transportation, which shall be used by the department for the purpose of constructing highway noise barriers on roads in southeastern Connecticut that experience increased traffic due to the casinos.

Statement of Purpose:

To install noise barriers in southeastern Connecticut towns due to increased casino traffic.
