An Act Concerning The Sales Tax Exemption For Clothing.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That subdivision (47) of section 12-412 of the general statutes be amended to provide that the threshold for imposing sales tax on any article of clothing be increased from fifty dollars to one hundred dollars.

Statement of Purpose:

To increase the threshold for imposing sales tax on any article of clothing from fifty dollars to one hundred dollars.
